The Patton M60
tank was the American Army’s standard combat vehicle from the mid-60s
until the M1 Abrams was put into service in the last decade. It was
highly mobile despite its massive shape and armor plating. The vehicle
benefited from various improvements during its career: electronic
equipment for its sighting systems, firing control, night vision, as
well as reactive amour protection, to the extent that it is considered a
good tank to this day, as testified by its extensive use by the Israel
